I've always wondered about the amount of scrap they have at Bitton - often stop there for lunch whilst working - seems like they've taken on a bit more than they can handle... not sure whats there but is it 4 mainline kettles in various states of decay?
Lost your love of life? Too much apple pie!

Have a look at my pics at http://alisterbetts.fotopic.net/

What's the locomotive in the first picture? It looks quite Polish to me. And where is the AVR? - I've not heard of that one before.

The locomotive is a Polish Tkh class-several were imported to Britian a few years back as they are one of the few continental types that fit the Birtish loading gauge.

People said Duke of Gloucester would never run again  Given time and money they should be restorable.

It's the Avon Valley Railway at Bitton station, Bristol. It runs from Bitton upto Oldland Common and then back through Bitton to the Avon Riverside station.

Thanks, I was wondering what make that was, all I knew was that it was Polish.

There was some more locos there, including 34058 and Thomas, but couldn't get any decent pictures.
