I spent an hour at Thirsk today, Took my nephew to watch the trains. We saw one of the new Transpennine units and 47707 towing the 2 Blue Pullman loco's. 12 more pics on my Fotopic site.

Where were the two blue pullman locos going to? I saw this just south of York, but it caught me unawares and I didn't get a very good shot of it :(

They are going to be stabled somehwre in London overnight for the Easter Highlander railtour going from KingsX to Edinburgh Waverly then on to Inverness tomorrow :)

They were on there way to Scotland. The Blue Pullman will be 87 hauled to Edinburgh

How often do they run? I didn't know they were working North of York, This one caught me by surprise

Just had a look at you video "71000 @ Thirsk", and I can honestly say that's the first time I've ever seen an electric train use the slow lines! :roll:

It was because a Voyager had stopped furher down the line throwing out a smokescreen, Everything was routed around it. Things got back to normal but the Duke ended up on the slow line so I didn't get to see it working hard :(

Well, York crews are training on them now, so you will likely see the units out North of York on Weds or Thurs, depending on the training schedule.
