Well Wessex were merged into Great Western, Stagecoach (who I would have liked), First (second choice) or National Express were the bidders for the combined franchise and First won (Stagecoach didn't offer enough Premium according to News reports)

Same with wagn and Thameslink

Then its Northern with 20%
Tfl with 10%
South Eastern & Southern 10%
Arriva with 2%
One with 1.5%
SWT 1%
C2C 0.5%
So GNER and the National Express Group (Virgin, Central, Midland Mainline) dont exist then
LOL sorry i knew i missed someone out.

Virgin 30%
GNER 20%
First 20%
NEG 5%
MML 5%
Arriva 5%
tfl 5%
Northern 5%
one 2%
SWT 2%
c2c 1%

there we go Percentages are based on area size and not service running.

But 100% of public transport can't be based solely on the trains...

First do have far too many franchises though.

WAGN was a perfect company, and now First is trying to act like Intercity and British Rail?

The idea is that when Thameslink 2000 (or 2020 whichever you prefer...) is completed, First Capital Connect will be able to run services across London to both Bedford and Cambridge.

For that they need the Great Northern bit of the old WAGN franchise.

Dan
