Help needed for an idiot!!!!

Are you a budding railway photographer? Want to share your work? It's like the screenshots forum, except it's meant to be shots of the real ones!

Help needed for an idiot!!!!

Post by anamorph »

Hi,

I have somehow deleted two prized pics I took of 37261 on the 7th of June: Ive done something between downsizing them to upload to Fotopic and probably didn't "save as" - they are no longer in the upload folder or the original, although I did upload them to FP. Anyone know any possible file recovery software that may help?

If FP is fotopic, they should be in your incoming files directory.

Just log on, go to publish photos, and it should skip the upload thing and tell you that you already have 2 photos waiting to be sorted. Just create a new gallery and they should be there.

That is assuming that by FP you mean fotopic!!

Also it'll be the downsized pic if you uploaded these ones.

We've all done it before, buddy - I got in the cab of the FGW sleeper once, took loads of pics, then my memory card packed in when I got home  Just one of those things.

You could try Recover My Photos available from http://www.recover-my-photos.com/. The free download version lets you see if the files are recoverable, and it costs $27 for a reg key. It works on digital camera cards (even if you have erased it) and on hard drives.Worked great on my Compact Flash card.
