MHR Diesel Gala 14th May

Post by trains2 »

Hi all,

Pictures of my experiance at the Mid-Hants/Watercress Line Diesel Gala are now available below:

http://www.southern-railway.fotopic.net

I have to say it was probably the best yet with 'doubles' of the same class appearing all over the place! Definatley a hit for next year yet again.

Hope you like em :D

Cheers

Went Friday with a couple of freinds and yes totally agree with you Marcus did a top job this year!

If it improves again next year
forget the others come here

Freightliner Drivers from Eastleigh/Maritime did a great tidy up on 358
would be sad not to see it preserved after the effort theyve put in

Best Locos has to be the 31s entertaining with mega acceleration!

The 47 is wonderful! I had a chat with the driver (s) and he said that there are only 3 left :( But yes, it looks fantastic with the new repaint i agree.

Thanks, yes a wonderful time we had. Met up with Mr Cousins, and 'stumbled' across Mr Denison (and Junior  ) at Ropley. I think we can all say, what a brilliant day!! :D

I'll pass on your thanks to Marcus!

Any requests for next year then?

Would it ruin the keeping of the event to have a 66??

*** goes to take cover  ***

I'd quite like to see a Deltic again, and a couple of 73's perhaps too.

Add my thanks also, what a "clag-tastic" time (thank you Mr Cousins!  )

Cheers

Looks like it was a good event, albeit a little busy judging from the pics... :D

I'm still recovering from the superb WSR gala last weekend, what an event. Was also very quiet on the saturday, front coach if not front window on every trip I went on :D

Nice pics from everyone!

Also good to see 37190 out again - was sounding absolutley hellfire last week..
