Its just platforms 3,4 and 5 that need connecting,
In about 3 or 4 years Alex, if they can find the money to do it?

Its a very nice station now your can even get a coffee and a few ofter shops on the Main concourse and the waiting room on platforms 2 and 3 is the Cleanest i Ever Found.

Because its an old Great Western engine (the Great Western who used to run into moor street station) so its there as a static display to remember this. In a few years time Vintage Trains will run some of its railtours from here (they have even repaired the old water tower so the steam engine can get water).

It's interesting that they just leave such a nice engine there. Are there no concerns of vandalism, or is the station secure?

The area in which the engine is in is gated off. There's no access to it.

You can see it from the Bullring. The station should be connected within the 2 years, I can't see Chiltern spending so much money on it and then leaving it to rot.

Hi

I believe the area will have resignalling work done someone this or next year, and connecting it is already pencilled in for that time.

Yeah, The Plan I Believe is sometime this year they will resignal and reconnect platforms 3,4 and 5 and at sometime start work on converting 1 and 2 back to a matching era

to reconnect will cost a staggering 4.8 million pounds including the resignalling and they say they cannot afford it. Someone needs to look whats sat next to BMS that cost 50+ million pound, and say, well if they can afford that in birmingham then we can have a connection.
