Oh no ive fallen in love with a tram, beats sheffields trams. 80Kmph thats almost 60mph, cool stuff. id just like to know if anyone travalling in the one centre car wether they realise that between them and the pavement theres nothing. Might actually force myself to come to nottingham one day.

Thanks for your support both of you! 80kph acording to NET is 50mph. Though other say it's 60mph. For further details on the tram check out http://www.thetram.net

Just as well, because it is! or near enough - ask google! :) Or look at your car speedo!

100 kp/h is 62 mph. So 80 is around 50.

I use a simple system for conversions but you need to be able to think in 16s

16kmh ~= 10mph
32kmh ~= 20mph
48kmh ~= 30mph
64kmh ~= 40mph
80kmh ~= 50mph
96kmh ~= 60mph

You will see that using my system 60mph is a little int out however this doesn't really matter to me as the chances of me getting any where near even 50mph on my bike is remote anyway (a mate did it and says its scary as hell, the challenge has been thrown)

The actual conversion is

1 km = 0.6211 miles
10km = 6.211miles

1 mile = 1609 metres = 1.609 km

80 k is 50m, as near as dammit! not 55, or 60!

Look at any decent conversion table!

Straight from the Google's mouth -

80 kph = 49.7096954 mph

So, in any value that means anything, 80kph = 50 mph :)

just type

80kph in mph

into the google toolbar and you get the result.

works for feet in metres and a whole lot of other convertions too.

That's exactly the link I createed in my message Posted: 23 Sep 2004 21:33

So are we all agreed that 80k is 50mph and can start arguing about important things now? ;)

Well, if you've not seen them, take a look at the screenshots from my early development of the NET route for MSTS on the Screenshot forum.
