Some photos from Ipswich today

Post by MikeF1 »

Hi everybody, my first time photographing trains, hope you lke them. I haven't been interested in trains for about 15 years until now, so you'll have to help me out to what models some of them are! :)

Anyway, enjoy...

57 is the ones that look 47esque. 66 is the American looking one. 153 is the single coach MU. 90 is the electric loco. 150/2 is the 2 coach MU. Nice pictures.

Cheers. There's a great bridge for that sort of picture a little up the tracks from the station, so long as you have a good zoom lens.

Quite easy to take pictures of trains, I usually take pictures of racing cars in action :)

Just a couple then... :)

I've got loads in various places on the web, I really should get my photos site up and running...

The start of the same race :)

By the way, to anybody who lives near Ipswich, it's a pretty good place to take pictures of trains right now, as the tunnel is shut for a couple of months, they can only come in and out one end. Today there were loads of trains in the station, presumbably those that would normally be going anywhere south of Ipswich wait there until they would be going back. Also there are a couple of good bridges near the station.

Excellent pics; Both of the trains and the racing cars (you haven't got any of the Formula Ford race have you???)
