Definitely too light - they did a better job with 4 TC units 410 and 417...
now that is a quality repaint...
very nice...
how long will swt get rid of it and send it to south eastern...?

Please no more Veps, though they can send over some more Ceps if they want. The only decent Vep we had 3582 (with the TC driving trailer in it) got withdrawn about 2 months ago.

Whoever informed you didn't do so reliably as they are wrong! it took a long time to get the TC sets matched up correctly - the VEP has just been painted in what someone assumes is the nearest equivalent...
Hate to throw a damp squid on things, but from what I have been told (straight from the guys who painted it at Chart Leacon/SWT Management) the colour is indeed accurate as per the original delivery colour specs.
As we don't have an alternative original liveried unit to show you against it, it is a bit difficult, but it is still not the correct colour blue - its the standard BR blue that was used when the blue and grey livery was applied. The original EMU Blue was a darker hue. We managed to get samples of both from Eastleigh Works when we were getting spares for our class 33 loco's (108/111). My garage door in Basingstoke was painted in original EMU blue but that was back in 1990 so I daresay the new owners will have painted it since then!!!
