Re: Fotopic.net search going tempramental
Wether fotopic returns or not, this latest outage (particular what MAY BE why (not that it is)) is severly going damage them, and take quite a lot of their users away, especially their customers that have premium accounts. If Fotopic returns, those paying customers have every right to try and get their money back, or at least a part-refund.

Re: Fotopic.net search going tempramental
Hi folks
After a few weeks of uncertainty as fotopic being offline since March, it is with much regret that Fotopic.net and Snappy Designs has ceased trading, however though some of you will probably have heard of the news.
Fotopic.net have been wround up recently, at first the search facility was not working, typing anything and nothing's found the next minute. Then since March, fotopic.net went offline. Nobody knew what has happened back then, though some of us thought there is an outage.
We now understand that Fotopic.net and it's parent company Snappy Designs Ltd no longer exists. Here is the offical Fotopic.net statement:
We hope that the new service will replace Fotopic.net, and hopefully all the images from there would be transferred.
With regards
Alistair Cowell

Fotopic has played the part in keeping us all up to date with the latest images, such as new liveries, refurbishments, new services, etc., plus histories of train liveries, classes, and many more. The site has other transport, mainly trams and buses.Fotopic Update
Dear Fotopic Users
Fotopic and its parent company Snappy Designs Ltd are no longer trading.
Discussions are in progress with a new team to rescue part of its service and the images.
The important points to note:
The images that have been uploaded to the Fotopic servers are safe.
Our aim is to find a migration path to a new service with similar or better functionality
than Fotopic and a method for users to export their existing images.
We cannot give you a date for this just yet – please subscribe to our newsletter to be updated.
Please understand that we cannot answer specific queries at this time, but will be able to
give more information once we are live with a new service.
Thank you for your understanding.
We hope that the new service will replace Fotopic.net, and hopefully all the images from there would be transferred.
With regards
Alistair Cowell
