Some amazing photos from one of the best stations in the country :D . I am there tomorrow morning at 08:00 getting a train to Alnmouth and at around 19:00 so I hope to get some photos.

Very nice, I think that picture of a voyager on the opposite platform deserves a spot as my desktop background.

I use a Canon EOS 450D, and on this occasion I used a low ASA (100) to get the finest possible grain, exposure varying but anything between 3 seconds and 30 seconds to get a depth of field of at least f8 and preferably f12 or so.

All shots have had the colour balance corrected using Photoshop to remove the yellow cast from sodium lights, and then sharpened and the shadow/highlights function used to enable underframe detail to be picked out.

I like night photography, especially the technical challenge. I'll post a few more on this thread in a day or two.
