So who's having one then?

It looks mighty fine - I'm sending my cheque off tomorrow. Tis slightly hefty at £89.95 (£85 to subscribers) but then all Ltd Eds are at that price - 66618 for Railways Illustrated, 66522 for Kernow Model Centre (that may have been more!). Limited numbers and expected to sell out quickly, but should be worth it (although 28 day delivery period

)

I take it this isn't the same as the Hornby version listed here for £52 (amongst other places):

I'm returning to the model railway scene after a gap of some 30 years and am amazed at the level of detail available on the market today (but, of course, as the above example illustrates, at a price!).
I might change my mind on seeing the two models, but "on paper" my instinct would be to go for the Hornby version if it's going to work on a layout and the super-detailed version if destined for a glass case.

No - it is the Bachmann model. I believe the model you link to is a Hornby/Lima model. Biggest image I could find of it on the net:

Looks very nice! It would be interesting if someone had both of these locos to see a head-to-head comparison - not just in terms of appearance but also how well they run etc.
