Fiddly bits on Hornby 60

Post by 02southeranc »

Hi
I've just bought the EW&S Class 60. The air pipes and chain couplings are very tiny and fiddly, could anyone give me any help on how to fit them? Also, in the instructions, it says that you can removed the smaller snowplough to fir the bigger one, how does it come off as I don't want to snap/break anything!?
Thanks
Chris

I haven't got a 60 so I cannot help with the snowplough thingy but with the pipes etc I'd hold them in a pair of tweesers take a dry run at fitting ( they may need the holes opening out.) then dip the end in a drop of superglue and attach

You should just be able to unclip the snowplough and clip the new one on in its place.

However, the new snowplough won't go on if the coupling is in place; you will have to remove this first! :)

Also, make sure you fit the snowplough before the pipes.

Thanks for the advice, I have already fit the snowplough, but one of my friends from my model railway club said he'll give me a hand at our meeting on Tuesday night to fit the pipes! :)
