Bachmann Turbostars

Post by seamermodelrailway »

Hi all, 8)

Does anyone have a complete list of every one of Bachmann's Turbostars ever released including livery and release dates? :o

I know nothing about dates, but here are the liveries I know about: -

1) - Central Trains 3 Car

2) - Central Trains 2 Car

3) - Central Trains 2 Car Weathered

4) - Southwest Trains 2 Car (version 1)

5) - Southwest Trains 2 Car (version 2)

6) - Anglia Railways 2 Car

7) - Scotrail Swoosh 3 Car

8 ) - Scotrail Barbie 3 Car

9) - SPT 3 Car

10) Midland Mainline 2 Car

11) Southern 2 Car (LTD Edition.)

That's all I can think of, does anyone have anymore? :-?

What exactly is the difference?

AFAIK Version 1 (the one I have) Bachmann labelled it a 170/3 class, and correctly numbered on the model too as 170 301.

However Version 2 they have labelled it 170/4, of which there is no such thing, and then just applied the same number, 170 301.

As far as I can see there is no difference between the models either. :-?

I don't think there is a difference apart from the number, I just meant that they had made two models of the same livery. Sorry it wasn't more clear. :(

According to a book I have, it says bachmann made two models.

32-452 - 170301 - Southwest Trains - 2001

32-452A - 170302 - Southwest Trains - 2004
