Bachmann 2006

Post by rwaceyw »

Looks like the following are due:-

Ivatt Class 2 2-6-0
Standard Class 4MT 2-6-0
Class 150/2
Class 47 Diesel in 4 liveries
Digital sound versions of Diesel Classes 20, 25/3, 47, 55 and 66.

Plus wagons and coaches and such ;)

Sounds good to me :)

They're also doing 150/1s in Centro and FNW.

A number of locos are going to be DCC chipped. Great if you're layout is DCC ready, but not too good if it's not.

A Delner fitted Lady Penelope coming out and both new 20s will have tablet catcher mods, another things that's annoying me but will please others. I suppose the more mods they do the more people they can includ in the long run, but P others off in the short term.

The LMS crimson lake Scot looks good, even if it is out of my timescale.

Wagons + coaches:

Bullieds, blue Mk1 subs, blue/grey pullmans.

New intermodals, 100t tanks, ZKA limpets, VAAs, VBAs and seacows.

Should think you will still be able to use them on conventional DC and then you will be able to just switch between the two more easily.

As for N guage:

BR Standard class 3MT Tank
Class 150 sprinter in 4 Liveries
Class 04 Diesel Shunter

Range of LMS Stanier Coaches
HHA Bogie Hoppers
Seacow Ballest Hoppers

Yes, but you have to pay for something you have no intention of using as they won't be the same price as models which arn't chipped.

Dapol are obviously a bit put out, and not wanting to repeat the Class 66 battle. They have added this to their website:

Code: Select all

25th January 2006
Following today's announcement by Messrs Graham Farish that they intend to release several of the N gauge models that we had already publicly announced that we were intending to produce in 2006 and 2007 viz.: LMS Stanier Coaches : Class 150 Sprinter : Class 03/04 Shunter : 40t Seacow wagon, we have decided NOT to proceed with these models. We will instead direct our attentions to our range of new models already under production - and some already under production but not yet announced.

You know, that's just what I'm waiting for to replicate the Cheltenham-Southampton trains in the mid to late 50s. If there's anyone related to any major modelling company around here...
