Hornby are doing a Britannia according to heritage railway in a recent issue, can people post their predictions here please cheers colin

I heard rumour of Hornby doing a 67. 
I would like to see a 73 from either of them, as the Lima model is getting a bit dated now.

I believe most of these have already been made, or are in the stages of production. I thought we were talking about completely brand new models that we haven't yet seen/heard about, not new things that are to be released.BR7MT wrote:From Hornby:

Bachmann are doing for sure....
Class 47's in both blue and two tone green.
Mk2's in Blue & Grey / NSE and IC liveries.
Class 108 DMU in Blue Grey / NSE & Green.
a guess would be...
Class 20 TOPS Weathered Box Domino Headcode.
Class 40 TOPS Blue Split Box Domino Headcode.
Surely the "Peaks" will get the flush front treatment and new nose end details

Hornby asked railway modellers earlier this year to suggest a Southern EMU model that they could produce, perhaps for 2006. But as far as I know they got such a widespread response that they can't say what will be modelled.
However there are indications from MREMAG that Hornby have got a few surprises up their sleeves for the 2006 releases.

I think a superdetailed HST based on the Lima moulds that Hornby now have, because they were super on their own, and eons better than the Hornby HST, oh and also 450 SWT Desiro from Bachmann or Hornby please!

Bachmann have already gone down the DCC route with their EZ-Command box of tricks (Based on the Lenz Compact) and Hornby are rumoured to be releasing their DCC setup in 2006. It will be interesting to see if they produce a wholly new system with NMRA compliance or a rework / rebadge as Bachmann have done.
With the fiasco of information getting out early at the end of 2004 for 2005 models I guess they will be keeping stumm until details are released on their websites.
Whatever 2006 may bring, let's hope it was worth the wait.

I did hear at the Hornby stand at Warley a couple of Hornby guys talking about the 'new M7' - so hopefully that!

Hornby came down one day to measure the O4, so its likey that the O4 will be done by Hornby, also a Southern loco thats at the railway, but i'm not allowed to say! hehehe
