I have to say being my first ever Warley it was a pretty decent show, although my elbows are now grazed.
Apparently it was much busier Saturday than Sunday, so fliipin heck that would've been a lot of people! Nice to meet up with Matt and trainlover123, and also met up with LucaZone too. Matt and I didn't see anything....
Hope to be going next year.

Morwenstow is an excellent layout. That was Ben's favourite. We stood there for 1/2 an hour waiting for the bridge to open!!Simming wrote:Its was a great show from mine and our clubs point of view, seeing as we won the award for best modern image layout (Morwenstow Riverside) although we've just got back and im shatted now.
Congrats on your award. Well deserved.

Yeah I thought your layout was good also. I liked the Automatic uncoupling ramps you made to uncouple your Rolling Stock.
I had a great time there was some great layouts and I managed to get a Bachmann K3 with the Early Crest from the Bachmann Stand. I also Got a Bachmann V2 with Early Crest.
I went on a coach and didn't find it too hard to find the show. Unlike the year before when we walked though the whole complex to get to Hall 1.

They are made by Gaugemaster, very handy also, means automatic uncoupling without needing a change of couplers. although they can sometimes stick which can be a shame.LNERandBR wrote:Yeah I thought your layout was good also. Thank you. The bridge can attract a good crowd, its just a shame a few of us forget to use it alot of the time (not me personallymfdos wrote:Morwenstow is an excellent layout. That was Ben's favourite. We stood there for 1/2 an hour waiting for the bridge to open!!

Oh wow, that is a very nice layout mate, I really liked it. We probably met eyes without knowing; I was watching as Pete Waterman was giving you the award so you were probably about somewhere. Nice to see a Ltd Ed Shanks 66 in the flesh too.Simming wrote:Its was a great show from mine and our clubs point of view, seeing as we won the award for best modern image layout (Morwenstow Riverside) although we've just got back and im shatted now.
Our layout (Aveton Gifford 7mm) apparently ran very well and drew in a large crowd, or at least everytime I was there it was a bit tight.
As for purchases, I finally picked up my MBLS Wessex Electric overlays and underframe boxes from Hurst, and the paint to go with it, so me WES is nearly done.

Aye, I was standing to the right, I just hope Mr Waterman isn't standing infront of me for that photo
The shanks fred seemed popular, but I think thats because we had the only one there, as they have arrived at kernow, just the certificates havn't. Although we are expecting to go there and find chris and greg complaining about having loads of phone calls of people asking where is there 66.
