i am in modellers heaven !!!

Post by davvydo »

me mam n dad are arranging an extension to our house, so you can imagine what will happent to my layout in the loft !!!!

i had a mental picture of what it would look loike, i thought it would just be a meter or so, but now it looks like put it this way, the loco would be very hot when it gets to the other end of the line.

the new extension i am going way over the top in the terminus, i will have loads of platforms and well you get the picture !!!!

is there a website where you can get track plans of model railway layouts at all ?

cheers

The books normally have smaller layout designs in mind. I assume this is because not everyone has enough space for a massive terminus, so there isn't really a market for books to suit.

The easiest way would probably experiment with something like Hornby Virtual Railway 2, but if you don't want to do the desiging yourself, say how much space you're going to use, a few specs, ect., and I could do some designs for you. (I love desiging layouts)

me too !

errr i am not sure, imagine the side of a semi, right hand with the extension going on the side, the new loft space will be the new layout extension

i will post some piccys for you to get a better idea, i dont think i am making any sense here but it will be big,

there are four tracks on the layout, it spirals to the outside and goes round about five times until it gets to the outside track, the terminus at the moment that is, just imagine the track doing a 100 foot circuit until it gets to the next track

the locos will really feel the burn !!!!
i will build a shed at the other end, give them a rest !

Is that already there and the extension is being added or is that what you'd like?

(P.S. You might be making sense but I'm not really that alert on Mondays)

no there is a current layout already there and a huge extension being added when the house is extended therefore the bigger loftspace is gained !
