How do you fancy a (nearly) OO scale working SRN4 hovercraft? There's a 1:70 scale radio controlled model kit of the huge 200+ seater Hovercraft car ferries that used to run from Dover to Boulogne available for about £150. Has the potential for an exhibition layout with a difference - what if BR had built a Hoverport with a railway station, with through inter-regional trains and Southern units connecting with the frequent hovercraft departures? You'd need a fair size board (the hovercraft model is over two and a half feet long!) but it would be operationally quite an eye opener!

One for next year's Warley show perhaps?

Sounds like the sort of model that will blow you away.

This is the American site which sells them over there but has some video footage of the model

In the UK they seem to be sold via an e-Bay on line store as I've not found any other UK site, which you should be able to find using e-Bay's search facility. That said I'm sure they must be sold elsewhere, probably in the ads of magazines for radio controlled models.
