You have a pm.

Could you tell me is there an Arriva Turquoise and White class 158 as used in Wales available?

Well, if you want the post to be noticed you have an underline option, a bold option, an italic option and you can change the colours and the size.

Whereas making a post in caps is considered very rude on bulletin boards.

Its been done by Hornby david, all you have to do is buy one cheap ( sell for around £20 on ebay ), and superdetail it, as I have :)

I'd like to see an A7 or A8 personally, even though I have built a couple as kits.

All new rolling stock fitted with Kadees and a class 47 that is not to wide (heljan) and is a better model than the hornby model would be nice.

Digital Sumthing Control :P

Basically you dnt use a standard Hornby of Gaugemaster control, but a DCC controller available from many places, ZTC the most 'famous'. You fit your loco with a chip and the controller reads this. You then drive the train via the chip rather than the track.
If you can see where im going with this it means you can drive as many trains as you want at any one time! However, it does cost a bit, chips are around £25 i think. :o

...and hear hear on 'part 2' :) :P

DCC = Digital Command Control

Instead of the track taking the power and trains having to be isolated, the trains are given a number and you type the number in. Because it's computer based, it's an obvious choice if you want sounds or steam. Nowerdays, most RTR models come with a chip space to place your dcc chip in.

The Lenz compact system is only 70 quid, you need a power supply which I think is another 30 quid and then after that all you need is your decoders - their basic LE1000A decoders are under a tenner each.

The compact is a very good starter DCC system, everything you need in one box and it supports more than enough for the beginner.

Alternatively, for a really basic intro to DCC the Bachmann DCC systems are even cheaper - at something like 70 quid for one of their complete sets including stock, track and a controller - though that is significantly less capable than the compact (no accessories for example) - but if all you want to do is experiment with DCC it's a great start and fully compatible with all the other DCC's so your stock is perfectly usable as you upgrade to bigger systems including from other manufacturers.
