Well rumours are Bachmann are going to produce two Southern Region steam locos during the period 2005/2006. This comes from the bachmann collectors club magazine, let the rumour mills begin ;)

Just hope Hornby get around to doing the 8F in BR Late livery without the silly OLE warning stripe on the cab, as well as the 4P 2-6-4T with the later cab.

there are rumours that there will be an

S15,
GWR 2-8-0 tank ,
WD 2-10-0

being made and these are all the hornby requests

the bachmann mucky duck (ivatt 2-6-0) is only a maybe. not very good to advertise a maybe is it.

it is also rumoured that an 0-6-0 USA dock tank will be made too.

the 04 robinson sounds like a definate. cant wait till the next railway modeller comes out then you will find out what is coming out next year its supposed to be a good year too.

Hornby actually produced a prototype J15 or J21 in the 1980's. Looked like it had the same chassis type that is used on their current GWR open cab pannier tank.

regards

It's nearly ready, the pre production test shots were on show at Warley.

Still want a J15, but second to that would be some RTR Narrow Gauge stuff  the only RTR NG stuff is all foreign so don't look right on an FfR model!

If Hornby do a GWR 2-8-0T, then they have got to do a 2-8-2T, which in my humble oppinion must be one of the most impressive tank engines ever to grace our railways.

Lets hope that if Hornby do do a WD, they don't use the same drive mechanism that the 9f uses
