2 New Sims from PC Rails

Post by johnwatto »

Two new sims

Dorset Coast simulation

An enjoyable and extensive simulation covering the whole of Dorset and some of Hampshire. As well as 57 miles of the South West main line from Ashurst New Forest through to Weymouth, it includes the Lymington branch plus the "Heart of Wessex" line to Yeovil.
Brockenhurst, Bournemouth, Wareham, Dorchester are among a total of no less than 28 stations in the simulation, as well as the terminus seaside stations at Weymouth and Lymington. Single line sections of track add to the operating interest.
The 2018 timetable features the busy passenger services, with nearly 450 trains to deal with.

North-West Wales simulation

This simulation, set in the 1950's, features the main line from Bangor to the port of Holyhead, including Menai Bridge and the branches to Amlwch and Caernarfon. Bangor station was situated between two tunnels and was notoriously difficult to operate: storage of stock was a nightmare and much shunting was required. Many of the smaller stations still had goods yard facilities in regular use.
Most of the long-distance passenger traffic (to Euston, Manchester, Birmingham and Crewe) terminated or originated at Holyhead but some trains were to/from Bangor. Regular local passenger services operated from Bangor to Holyhead,
Llandudno Jn, Afon Wen/Pwllheli, and Amlwch.
