The pic is slightly outta focus, as ya say, i was looking into the low light a bit aswell, which dosent do me cam any favours. I have sharpened it a bit in Photoshop though.

if your running as an 8 car set, then id imagine you can enter abit faster than a 4 car set, because your stopping point as an 8 car is often ther full lenght, of the platform, and as an 4 car, you stop about mid way.

Id say the average approach speeds are 25-35mph.

i did hear that GNER were only achiving a 75% capicity off london?

I know during peak these trains run realy well loaded (supprising, huh?) and yet during the day, are more or less full anyways...i fail to see where this 75% comes from

What it looks like, is they typcial "Bashers" salute, where they wave their arms furisly (sp) up an down when a locos putting on full power or claggin heavily.

in that 2nd shot of the 150, it looks like you have used flash? if so, try to avoid using at, as National Rail Enthusiast Guidlines say we shouldnt use it, as it can pose a H&S risk.

Talking of Freightliner, a HHA has been parked at Thirsk station sidings for about 2 weeks now. Is there a time limit for retrieval or has it been strategically forgotten about?! John Probaly dumped due to having a hot box or something similar, FHH have loads of these wagons spare so are hardly bot...
