Is slowing the trains down really going to make much difference if a car driver cuts it too fine? or is it to avoid unit damage when they do?
But it does give the car driver more time to see if there is a train coming. The speed goes up to 80mph after the level crossing.

I agree. I think its crazy having a level crossing on the busy A27 or on any A road! :x

Good news then, if the building work goes ahead. :)

Only if people act idiotic. If you will insist of hanging your head out of the window of a speeding train... True. But there are a lot of idiots these days who will insist on doing idiotic things. But you have to think of the public opinion of the railways; rail passengers are happier to tra...

One thing I have against the slam door trains is they aren't as safe as the new 377s.

I downloaded it yesterday - the scenery is great (even when you’re underground). The walking people on the platforms are interesting. :P

I think this may be because some point before the station, in cab signalling is no longer used; instead you have to rely on line-side signals.

MSTS Error

Hi,

Whenever MSTS loads up (at the start) and when I exit an activity the following error message comes up:

Error reading train database file
File: Trains\Trainset\31459_CB\AI_31459_CB.eng
Line: 5

Does anyone know what this means or how to fix it? :-?

Hi, I am intrigued as to the technical reasons for the speed restriction on third rail power pickup. Is it because of mechanical limitations of the shoes used? cheers, Larry Hi, It might be because 750 volts is quite low. Trains using overhead wires pick up 25,000 volts. (I'm not sure) Have a look ...
