All I can say, is its excellent news that GNER have the ECML franchise, and IMO they are the best TOC in Britian. I really also wish them good luck for the GWML franchise.

Ah. There you go, it wasn't complete rubbish.

Cheers for pointing that out, XPTE.

I would also have liked to have seen the 67's, I didn't get a chance to photo them :( . Oh well, these things happen.

Cheers

Sorry mate! Got a bit carried away there! Cheers Alex  EDIT: I just remebered why I put a post on in the first place, according to someone from Siemens, that apparantly the high-pitched noise is the inverters, as they have AC traction motors, on DC lines. I'm not sure about the overhead ...

Just going back to the livery, IMO its a very smart looking loco now, especially as two of my favourite liveries were the later NSE colours and the various Intercity colour schemes. :D

Yeah, the Hornby Mallard set, which looks good, is the wrong shade of livery and also does not have any of the changes in Mallard sets. It still is quite a good set, IMO, if you do not have the skills to make the changes, or can't be bothered! . The latter is my problem, anyway. I also haven'...

Hmm... my Lima 47 in Freightliner as 47193 (I think, off the top of my head), seems to run just fine, although it is second hand.

Cheers for the website Champ!

Now I can moniter the 47765 that came to the MHR with 450012 on test, and it's a really interesting site.

Thanks again!

Class 73's in Intercity GEX livery...

Luvelly jubbly!

Although swallow livery on anything looks good really, IMO...

I think the DBSO's are quite handsome, personally.

Come to think of it, I seem to remeber reading somewhere that HST's will be running this year on Summer Saturday services...

... although that could be a load of rubbish.

I could be wrong, but I think the Cotswold Railtours are 47 hauled so can only go 95 mph (or there abouts). I believe that the loco-hauled Mk. 3's are only certified for 110 mph running, however I think that they could be re-certified for 125 mph, like the EWS company train, which has a 67, three Mk...

Woah! :o

I didn't mean to flare up an argument  , I was simply asking a question, IMO it didn't need to turn into a full scale feud. And as TomB and AllyPally said, can we cut it out before it becomes a full scale flamewar?

Cheers
