Re: What's New

Well, no DLC for this week. It's probably been a bit hectic where you are.

What's New

No, not another RW2 topic, just wondering if there will be any new content or special offers tomorrow. RSC have been quiet, but that is to be expected at the moment.

Re: RW2 : The Unhappy Thread

Why can't RW open Facebook etc, in the default browser? Instead of opening IE, which I avoid like the plague. It's very annoying, very amateurish, and I can send a couple of lines of code to rectify this, in the language of your choice if it's a problem.

Re: RW2 : The Happy Thread.

I am enjoying the new Railworks, nobody seems to have mentioned the quality of the display. I think I have detected a small frame rate improvement. Also, I think I detect an improvement in rendering, the rendering seems to have slightly increased saturation. Am I finding improvements where there are...

A little late to mention this?

I don't know whether this is the Graphics engine, or the loco model. The footplate looks rather precarious, watch out guys!Image

It's a bit late to fix in RW1 I suppose?

Re: A bit of advice ?

How about this. It's faster than my HD 4850 which I bought a year or so ago, and it's cheap as chips. It should handle most of what your processor can throw at it.

Clocks went forward in March and everyone was looking forward to some sunshine in their lives. I'm afraid October heralds dark nights and gloom, it's the grumpy season, not much we can do about it.

Re: Railworks 2: Train Simulator

I like the look of the new front end with the 'drive by train' options. Obviously the Fisher Price controller is of no interest to me, but I don't think it will there for expert mode.

RW-Tools problems

I have a couple of issues with RW Tools. Firstly I cannot look at any rolling stock lists, I just get the following dialog box. http://www.duglit.com/rwtools.jpg Secondly, I enter path information into the path boxes, and when I restart the program, the information is just gone. I have a license for...

Re: Stutter Fix? Railworks America

Hello I have read many posts detailing problems with stuttering, on machines with a far higher spec than mine. I built mine about 3 years ago, and apart from a new ATI HD4850 card, I haven't replaced anything. So it's pretty unremarkable. It looks like this: Core 2 Duo E6400 Gigabyte P965 MB 2GB Pat...

Re: small features i'd like to have

I'd like to be able to put my own face on the driver. I'd like to see some more passenger variety on the platforms, I'm fed up with the same old faces. Could it be arranged for passengers to walk toward the exit, after disembarking, this is particularly apparent at termini. A passenger mode, so that...

Re: Just bought my first payware addon

But what I really want is proper AI, dispatching, routing logic, and signalling. To me this is even more important than environmental upgrades such as superelevation or graphical enhancements or bizarre point-scoring systems. I don't want to drive around effectively on my own with moveable bits of ...
