National Rail Staff Railcard.
Gives me 75% off standard fares, free travel on Wightlink, discounts on P&O ferries and many discounts on European Rail.

Surely it wouldn't be efficient to run a class 90 and mk 3s between Waverley and North Berwick because surely it costs a lot more to run a class 90 than it does an EMU? Even though I'm sure receipts on the route are probably quite big and I'm sure it probably gets funding from East Lothian/Edinburg...

It is not 'lucky' the train stayed upright trains are designed to s...

Incidents like this are a direct result of the post-Thatcherite 'me me me' selfishness of society. 10 minutes of a person's life? Big deal. These days people have lost the art of self restraint and displaying patience. Fair point, still I thought they could of raised the barriers between the two tr...

ummm. I hate arriva but n/m eh. I thought that Wales was going to be one big franchise which included Valley Lines. Is this it, or is this still going to happen? Basically, the "new" Wales and Borders franchise includes the (circa 2000 ish) Valley lines, much of Wales and Wessex, Central services t...
