I am not passing judgement on the rights and wrong of the recent guards strike, but what is the position on guards/conductors in the driving cab of a train? This frequently happens up here, the conductor goes in for a chat with the driver. I regularly see this, for more than 50% of a journey. Huh??...

In the west Midlands area you can buy a daysaver for about £2.50 and you can use them anywhere within the CENTRO area on the train, metro, (im not sure about the bus though)
