Europeanbahn's forum
Now before I start, I want to say that this is not slagging Europeanbahn off in any way... but in the spirit of wanting to support them I registered to join their forum. I specified the same username as I do here - Geezertronic. Now this has been my handle for more years than I can remember as the n...

Re: What do you think is the best train/loco?
Don't rate HST's. For me, the HST is a bit of a nostalgia trip. I used to go on them quite a lot in the Dawlish/Devon area when I was a kid so it would be nice to see one in the Birmingham area again. Sorry to go off topic but does anyone know if HSTs call into Birmingham New Street anymore? I used...

Hehe you posted this at the same time as I did. I still think there are bits missing, particularly around 26 seconds into the vid.

Re: Hour at the Local (pix)
Carl - your picture of the BBC Box (http://cw-railpic.fpic.co.uk/p53452111.html) looks remarkably similar to the 2nd picture on the BBC Box website (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/7620233.stm). Was Adam Jackson standing by you with his camera when you were taking your pics?

Re: Will MSTS1 work on a Vista Ultimate 64bit operating system?
I am using Vista Ultimate 32bit and except for the usual problems, it is now working well. I would stick to 32bit if you have the choice, there is no real value using 64bit on a home workstation, especially given the driver and application issues you may encounter running 64bit.

Re: MSTS - the story so far as it applies to me
Hence the words "considering" and "should" In the case of Vista, it is almost a given that you should upgrade the drivers, especially the NVidia drivers which have been very buggy and caused a lot of Blue Screens in Vista. In fact I read somewhere that Microsoft were blaming NVidia for 2/3 of...

Re: MSTS - the story so far as it applies to me
A good point to note is that when a computer (laptop or desktop) is purchased, the drivers supplied are not always the latest drivers (even with laptops and desktops that have Vista). It is always worth considering downloading the latest drivers from either the PC manufacturer's website or the compo...

Re: MSTS - the story so far as it applies to me
I have had no problems running MSTS in Vista (Ultimate), like others have said the only issue I had was to get MSTS to run in Administrator mode. You can do this two ways: a) Right-click the MSTS shortcut and choose "Run as Administrator" or b) Right-click the MSTS shortcut ahd choose Properties. Se...

Re: Passenger load times - what's the deal?
Thanks guys, I think I understand now. Cross City is funny in a way as it appears that it takes just as long to load a 323 at a local station as it does to load a Pendolino at a Mainline station in WCE Pt1 I've had MSTS for a while but I have purchased a few addons (mostly Europeanbahn WCE and ECE) ...

Passenger load times - what's the deal?
Guys I have noticed when playing Cross City in particular that the passenger load times can vary from the listed stop/start time, please can anyone explain why? For example, I stop at a station at the scheduled stop time of 0650 and the scheduled time to leave is 0651, but the passenger load time is...

Re: New Computer/Raildriver/W Vista
Not as a rule. Vendors are shipping Windows Vista with new PCs as that is what they are contracted to do by Microsoft. Providing you can get the drivers for not only the motherboard but the graphics, sound, network card etc... you can load Windows XP on the PC as the license you get is backward comp...

Re: 4 track-wide tunnel mouths
OK I have just rerun SFM and a new error has come up, pretty self explanatory this one: Not enough storage to complete this operation. Would this imply I have little hard disk space in order to run the program? :-? Unfortunately this is one of many Microsoft's less descriptive error message. It has...
