Mk2's and Network South East Livery
Can anyone help please with some photographs of mk2 coaches in Network South East livery or a good shot of the NSE logo please. I've been asked to have a crack at the paint job by Steve Smithson and currently am turning up a blank with reference material. If you have any offerings please contact me ...

I know it's a silly question, but why if you're creating in photoshop are you going into TGATool and then exporting back to photoshop for the Alpha rather just doing the lot in Photoshop in the first place? Out of interest what size is the texture you're creating? I'm having no joy in creating 1024 ...

Well a bit more playing and the texture is being exported now, except without any transparencies. I'm using Photoshop 6.0 and have tried saving as 32 bit TGA and converting and also making a new alpha channel in TGA Tool but no sign of see through windows. Have also tried using updated MakeACE and t...

Sorry I being a bit verbose last night, thought I was tired  I don't have any problems making them, work on the machine in the sim itself. The problem is in exporting them to the ace file - although TGATools/MakeAce go through the motions and create the file when I examine it the file size is ...

1024x1024 textures
What is used to make ace files from 1024x1024 textures. All my current attempts with both MakeACE and TGATools have failed.

Thanks for that Dave, loads of detail and some food for thought. Must admit though that I gained the feeling that it was something to do with the tga files and transparency that was causing the problem I was experiencing, I'll have a straight play with a bmp from photoshop this weekend if I get chan...

Interesting mixture there though, possibly two non heat locos and two ETH. I remember 423 along with it's plates after it spent weeks around March in the early 90's, what are the other locos? Suppose they could just be Christmas treessalopiangrowler wrote:looks like fragonsets been shopping again!!!

I think it is something to do with either the settings your using to save the image, or the conversion before you save it as an ace file I think you're right there aswell, but not sure what's causing it. Here's my work flow: 1. Create 512x512x72 new image with alpha channel in photoshop 6 2. Apply ...

Here's a quick grab from the original in photoshop. At present it is only block colour so I could test as I went along and have fallen at the first hurdle :( http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic.php/79187/gradientswatch.jpg the difference between the two textures is no greater than 10& in any ins...

Gradients and Textures
I'm just having my first serious foray into some texturing but have hit a serious problem. I'm working with a 512x512 texture and would like to build up the base colours using gradients as per the example posted by Sean Lim last year. The graphics creation in photoshop is no problem, and then I'm us...
