I did read somewhere that MSTS was limited to 59fps regardless of hardware spec, OS, route etc.

I agree with Saddletank. BB users can easily download the seperate files and follow the instructions to install the route, it is no harder for them that modem users. To have them available as large downloads only would exclude many modem users from getting the routes at all, and holding a combinatio...

I have kept out of these 'MSTS is unfit for purpose' discussions up until now, and I'm certainly no admirer of Microsoft, but we have to keep the criticisms in perspective. The bald facts of the matter are that this site wouldn't exist and we wouldn't be having this discussion if it wasn't for MSTS....

I would lile to see Reviews of all the latest freeware and commercial add-ons A featured route each month, with hints and tips for getting the best out of the route, a 'cut out and keep' map, activity overviews, and (where appropriate) background information, photos etc. on the real world route that...

I think it is only a matter of time before a Train Sim magazine appears on the shelves. The only one I know of at present is at http://www.trainsimmodeler.com/wswmain.htm But it is CD-only and there hasn't been an issue for a while. Sure, there are more modellers than simmers out there for now, but ...
