To be honest I'm not all that fussed what the British route is in MSTS2. The S&C as supplied with MSTS1 is about tenth on my list of favourites, it's not bad, and I enjoy running the 3D Train Stuff stock and activities on it, but there are a lot of better routes out there such as Ruabon-Llangollen B...

No offence Matt ,but why would i want to order the above route from here at £20 ,when it is only $29.95 direct from 3dts,which includes global shipping. Particularly as there still doesnt seem to be a credit card facility here. I have ordered stuff direct from 3DTS in the past and I am very happy ...

I agree that the stars system is a bad idea. Anyone who uploads their model for constructive criticism and finds they get zero stars and a load of abuse isn't going to upload anything ever again. I am sure quite a few people who have gone on to produce really good stuff for the site aren't too pleas...

I shall probably buy both TRAINZ and MSTS2. My interest is on the routes, rolling stocks and activities rather than in the game engine, so if I have both I will be able to pick and choose the best from either format. And considering the use I expect to get from both, it's not all that expensive to d...

I am not sure that comparisons with Combat Flight Simulator are valid. CSF Is a take on the Flight Sim concept that as about broadening the appeal into the general game market (i.e. the people who find FS2000/2002 a bit dull).FS2002 has stayed firmly within the 'Simulation' camp and always will. MST...

The only problem with the original post was that it wasn't in 'general discussion.' As much as anything discussion of 'real world' goings on of interest to Rail Enthusiasts is what the general discussion forum is for. As long as it's rail related , 'entusiast based', and gets to the point reasonably...

Overall MSTS gets two thumbs up from me as well. Sure, it's not hard to find faults with it, and there is plenty of room for improvement, but for a first release it's pretty good, There is much more that is right with it than wrong with it. A look at the quality of add-ons that are being produced no...

The current issue of PCPLUS has a Group Test of small PC systems, many based around the shuttle case. It's probably worth thumbing through in W.H.Smiths, if only to get an idea of what is possible.

I don't have a problem with Watermusic not being very good at English, but I do have a problem with the lack of common courtesy. Anything that gets uploaded to UKTS has been provided FOC by someone who has more time and ability that me. I think CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is far enough, but slagging peop...

I disagree with not seeing 50fps. It's a bit like the WinXP/2000 refresh rate problem with 3D games being stuck at 60mhz it can be tiring on the eyes for long periods. But many utilities are available to fix that for you now. I use reforce to give me a 85mhz refresh rate. Those lucky enough to stil...
