Try putting another disk into the drive and if that works clean the Dorset CD.

If your DVD drive has gone then it is quite easy and not that expensive to replace.

I personally use tulip bulbs and have done for quite some time now. I seem to keep stumbling into things and falling over, but that is the home brew rather than any defect in the bulbs.
