Hi Martin,

I'll probably do Canton, but waiting to get an OK from Rich.

I believe FBL was converted by the original author, as there isn't any dynamic track in the route IIRC.

Right now, no MLT. It has been discussed Not to mention a basic conversion (track only) being sent to Andy for evaluation. Never heard back. Freeware routes are (thus far) Crawford Hill, Whitefish4_Hawk, Raton Pass, and the Kingsport Sub. These four are at the top of my favorites, especially...

Funny you should mention this, Paul. The graphic problems I mentioned at TS regarding SFV came shortly after installing Mozilla Thunderbird. Go figure.

Hopefully if there is a route editor it will be easy to use (and an English version too). Either way, I can't wait to take this one for a spin (tinkering to come soon afterwards)! Many of the shots (from the SorceForge site) look as though super-elevation is in the works. Is this true? At any rate,...

Read the PLoW (Plan of the Week), which is posted as a sticky at the top of the Surfliner forum. No need to trawl the other posts for news.

I had a customer with a similar issue, but not sure that it had anything to do with LODs - since parts of the model were fine, but the majority didn't appear at all. I even sent him a loco with a single LOD set at 2000m - still no joy. :( However, when he knocked down the in-game detail level slider...

Once you get used to its quirks, and plan your models carefully, especially the Material ID numbering, then setting up multi-sub materials and assigning them becomes a breeze. True. Planning is everything. However, there will no doubt be times when you'll find yourself needing an extra texture or t...

This is a known issue with all parallel track pieces, especially noticeable at grades above 1%. Paths for parallel track use an offset value from center which causes 'steps' in curves on grades. For my own ScaleRail sections (and to solve this problem), I opted to create multiple inside and outside ...
