Is the passenger satisfaction not got more to do with the blockade? People are getting pissed off with having to get off one train at St Pancras and walk half a mile only to miss the next train south?

The original post is true. Virgin have secured and actually bought rather than lease five 55s. The first one, 55023, came out of Bombardiers Crofton works a couple of days ago. Fitted with a delner coulpler and new light clusters the units are to be used on summer saturday and sunday services from M...

When the allington chord is complete GNER will be able to provide 66 trains a day on the London-Leeds corridor. With the Hamilton Jnct electrifiction, this will increase to 80. I would guess that the other 14, will be diagramed for use on the Hamilton Junction only so that all services still see 1st...

SimonT, living nr Newcastle, I think I can safely say that there were never any 142's running TPX services, even under Arriva. On the odd occasion a 156 may be drafted in, which fare enough are not as luxurious as a 158, but no where near as bad a pacer! Slightly off tangent, but the train that is m...

Hi Barry, I didnt realise how good your route looked, it really looks amazing. I really hope that you extend Eastwards to Manchester and include both the Crewe-Manchester and Stoke lines too. Can I also ask, where did you get that Pendolino cab view? Looks very nice and I'm definatly lackong of one ...

The best thing to do, if you want realistic trafic levels is to use the journey planners on the following sites to find out what traffic is running in the oppiste direction to you. V good idea, I would probably try to put a team together to do it, as it'll take you ages to do it all. I dont mind helping. I would also advocate not using Warington route, and just useing NWE2, which has WBQ as its first station on the WCML and using that to run to Lancaster via Wigan North Wester...

I'm thinking of building in a bit of recovery time into the timetable at Crewe and spliting activities there into two parts so you'd run Liverpool/Manchester-Crewe in ptI and then onwards in PtII

Activity Help

I have written an activity for TMV4 based on the Central City Link services from Birmingham to Liverpool. Picking up the the train just south of Crewe you are at the helm of the train all the way through to Liverpool. Everything seems to work fine, uptill Crewe. The train, the 170 Central in the oth...

Not from me I'm afraid, I don't really have much knowledge on where freight runs to and from, plus I dont have a HUGE interrest in it to be honest.

I am sure plenty of others will be doing so though.

I've done two, but I'm having very little luck with either. LONDON-MANCHESTER via CREWE in a Pendolino around 2002-2003, a bit fictional with a 322 substituting for the lack of a decent 323 on the Crewe-Manchester locals. Generally its a good activity to run but its a . to run as well becuase of the...
