Edit... I'm hoping we can export from GMax or there's a workaround, I've got a few models up me sleeve :D PS. Does anyone know how to render planes with Opacity in YagMax? Well if there is a scripting system then surely a script can be written that can disable or 'force' points and signals into a certain state. Or a script that manages the scenario and accounts for player delays etc.... I bet no AI system can cope with any player created situation but a script could s...

Afraid I did use cab mode, and it wasn't very satisfactory. Grades of 3% could be stormed up with no loss in speed, more like a rollercoaster than a train.

Let's hope the physics are way ahead of Trainz, that's the major niggle for me. There seemed to be no inertia at all and wheelslip was only introduced in TRS2006. Looking forward to a sim with a better driving experience myself!

Hmmm... with Trainz the 3dsMax exporters also 'happened' to work with Gmax, I hope that's the case this time as well.

@Marc, didn't know it was that much! Not suprised there weren't many takers.

I think Marc's summed it up.... also if I remember correctly developers had to pay some kind of fee to Discreet to develop the GMax gamepacks for their stuff, so I presumed there won't be a gamepack for KRS if Discreet don't support Gmax any more.

3d editor?

Just a quick qusedtion, what's the 3d editor of choice for KRS? Now that Discreet/Autodesk have put Gmax out to pasture will there be an exporter for this or 3dsmax? If I get KRS I hope to bring some models along with me from Trainz.

Hi and thanks for the reply,

It's info for the steam age I'm really after - the route I'm making (Reading to Newbury on the GWR) has quite a few goods yards on it, hopefully one day I'll be able to make an activity for it but a bit more background info is what I need.

I had a wierd 'phasing' problem with my sound.... after spending 450quid on a new Geforce4, motherboard and CPU (ie a whole faster PC) the sound was fine. :D
