Caught a glimpse of Eastenders tonight and saw (I think) 48100. Anyone confirm, and which line it was? My guess is it was Llangollen.
Nice clean looking GWR station, maybe it's Saddletank's Highworth!!

Shifting Time
Firstly, Happy New Year to all at Atomic.
Secondly: Why does the Atomic time seem anything but Atomic??
It seems to alternate from GMT to GMT+1 hour fairly frequently.
Was it so that you could have two celebrations for the New Year??

I understand that UKFS and default track don't mix very well on the same route. Its replace all or don't bother I believe the only reason for not mixing default track with Finescale is cosmetic. They are a slightly different width (and texture). I needed to achieve an 8 chain curve in a tunnel sect...

I manage a double figure frame rate with Mid East on a 1.5Ghz machine, and all detail levels up full. Poor frame rates could result from memory/cache configurations not appropriate to using progs like MSTS. I have a freeware program called Ram Idle running, which optomises memory and caches, and all...

Thanks, Hopefully it won't be too long before I can get something released. I held back until recently even mentioning it in case it all went pair shaped, and I only started it about September time. I'll post some more screen shots soon, but much of the route is just track on a standard texture - no...

Thank you Tim, I still need to fully understand the process as you may have gleaned from the thread. Nothing using FS variants would be uploaded by myself without prior reference to you in any event, unless you have previously said otherwise, even dummy clones. I never did intend to 'release' any mo...

Tried FFEditC_Unicode.exe but couldn't get the dos window to stay open. Something flashed up in a window, but too quick to read. I haven't got a boot up in dos option (Win ME). I've got Route-Riter downloaded but never thought to use it as I thought it was for packing routes for distribution, not ex...

Thanks Horgy, didn't know about FFEditC_Unicode.exe, so will have to have a look. The pieces under discussion would be 'dummy' track objects rather than normal track sections, so the tsection.dat wouldn't be an issue with these. If I was to get skilled creating new track sections, perhaps we could h...

I intend to extend it, but even now think about changing some of the early bits I did, so I'll have to see if it gets extended or re-done. When I compare track layouts to seeing the real thing in videos, they are not always the same! I'll carry on with what I've done so far though, as all the time o...

Thanks for the useful reply. The last option reminded me of a download I have called "Dumb Track", so I have had a look at that to see if it could point me in the direction of going about it. As far as I can see, I would need to clone the track shape .s and .sd files from the global directory to the...

I don't think they drive the real 4472 with W & D keys yet! Could not the fault be with your PC manufacturer for producing a machine that does not respond accurately to your key presses?! (Sorry 'bout the double negative) Or perhaps it was sticky finger syndromeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I think NASA ...

Tim, your pictures of the track texture show the new V3 joining onto the old V1/2. Have you done that using a special piece to show the comparison, or will it be possible to have both textures in the same route? In reality, one sees a rusty looking track and dirty overgrown track bed where a disused...
