BT now claim to have taken action on this, at last. If the BT Broadband user concerned reads this, then sorry, but it was causing so much grief and something had to be done. No hard feelings though, it could happen to anyone. How did you manage not to be aware of getting the virus though and what im...

The BT broadband oik is very busy again: 86.142.120.90: 10:55am to 11:11am (5 attempts) 86.133.170.3: 11:20am to 11:55am (11 attempts) I'll deblock the IP range to gather more evidence to email BT with, assuming they continue. Judging by previous days, they log in from 7pm-12am, so I should catch p...

I've had them again tonight, from the same session as you. Couldn't get anywhere reporting them today as BT's Customer Service isn't open until Monday morning; some service. The only way would be to contact tech support... on an 09 number, prob around a £1 a minute. Yes, it pays to have spammers on...

I was getting another batch tonight from IP 86.142.18.165 so managed to speak to BT Broadband techical support (very difficult to find a way through without paying for 0870 numbers but did manage it; one rude operator cut me off when I complained about charging for the call.) Anyhow, got through aro...

I've had them from these NTL adresses to my YCR address: Wednesday: 82.29.26.201 Thursday: 82.29.25.54 Only one of these e-mails (from 82.29.26.201) appears to be a trainsim related contact, though nearly all the BTBroadband ones are. As the spamcop.net reports seem to have fallen on deaf ears I hav...

Notice that Wednesday's address for all received was from 86.142.16.214 so whoever it is appears to have dial up ADSL. I bet whoever it is is cursing his PC for not running MSTS properly at the moment and not have a clue at the havoc he has unleashed on all the contacts in his address book, unless h...

I've had around 70 of them from ntlworld on my YCR e-mail address which I've only used to register for a couple of continental trainsim sites. These had been dumped in the spam folder by Yahoo but I checked them in spamcop tp fimd the source, and hopefully get some action to block the sender. I'd de...

I've had dozens too. Most have been filtered out by my ISP but several a day seem to get through. All are trainsim related addresses so perhaps the vrus has ripped through several address books and IS STILL DOING SO. (Shouting so that the one without virus protection might hear!) If using Outlook Ex...

I think it would depend on how it was published, ie as a set or individually. Also what the media is. An anthology of music from it would be 50 years from release date, so this would depend on how the trilogy was published. The written word 70 years from the author's death, so all at the same time f...

Just checked my book of guidance on copyright (better not copy it had I!!) Re the chap who wrote some bespoke software for a firm, here the copyright belongs to the person who wrote it, or his own employer. If he was freelance, the copyright belongs to the person, not the firm he did the work for un...

Don't forget that copyright only exists for a specific time (I believe 70 years from the author's death, was 50 until quite recently.) Most 78rpm records are now out of copyright so tranfers of these to mp3 can be be traded quite legally! Ordnance Survey say they are OK to have their maps copied tha...
