Different sounds at different times?

Is there any way to have placed sounds only play at certain times of day? eg. placing birdsong and owl sounds by a clump of trees, and having the birds sing in the day and owls at night. As an extension, could they be related to weather? eg. you only want a foghorn at a port when it's foggy... Thanks.

Do they control the average height of the trees, and how much they can vary by? Don't exactly know which is which, but some experimentation would show that up quickly if I'm right.

At this rate 6233 will be more of a celebrity than the scotsman I think it would be nice for them both to be celebrities.
