correction 150001 and 002 are the only 2, 3 car sets with a proper centre car as the pic of 154001 which is 150001 shows

sorry!! was a 154!! 150001 and 002 were 154001 and 002. there was a 003 and 004 aswell only for a couple of months though manyly working in and out of shrewsbury before 150101 - onwards came out.

Mk3's all standard class are as follows (in numerical order)
12001 - 12174
Mk3's all buffet class
10148 - 10289
Mk3's all first
11001 - 111**
all what i can find without looking at any books will give further detail soon.

oh and one Mk3 coach still carries Mk4 bogies

and there are 54 Mk3 DVT's

hows about this then, a week after the central trains 170's came out one was on a birmingham to aberystwyth it was attacked by a pidgeon somewhere near machynlleth the 170 was then taken out of traffic!!, with a ruptured brake line at machynlleth. apparently everyone got out of the train and not one...

looks good, it could happen in reallife as america was standard guage from 1896 its just that they have over size locos and wagons with standard guage bogies

didnt know that there were any eurostars without warning panels. Since they are all built at washwood heath, thought it was standard practise for all of them. More to the point i have seen all bar 4 33xx series eurostars working in the uk including 3299
