no harm that i can see in avoiding dynamic track!

i'm steering as clear of it as i can (when/ if i release what i'm doing, don't try to drive between the 2 dorchester stations: a bit ropey dynamic track in there: why will it only curve one way?)

in modelzone in basingstoke i saw a red northern line train, 4 carriages. seemed to be an RTR set...

don't have any idea how much it cost, but since an anglia 86 is about £50 or something stupid like that, i'd guess it's dead pricey.

i had a few problems with this on ECML. only way i could get around it was to wait about 20 seconds before opening the doors. which isn't ideal for good timekeeping (i did find the schedules were rather lax though, i've often had to wait for 6-8 mins at a staion after simply running at line speed to...

i reckon your best bet for derelict track (i think is what you mean) is a few strategically placed bushes. or lots and lots and lots of strategically placed bushes.

you get what i mean!

i think you're mistaken, clearly the best company ever was the LSWR.

well, yes, but a TPH is like a substation, except it's got no rectifier or AC supply. You usually have Sub - TPH - Sub, except on single track sections. it reduces the impedance by allowing trains to draw current through both con rails and return though both sets of running rails, on a double track ...

3rd rail electrical equipment

right, i'm trying to learn about making objects myself, so i thought i'd start with something simple. I am therefore planning to make a Track Paralleling Hut (2 reasons: i work for the powere supply people on the SZ, and it's basically a cuboid with a few wires out the front!). If anyone needs an ex...

i'll pop along if i get the chance (i live in old worting road, so it's not far!).

i wouldn't advise getting a bus in basingstoke though... with their frequency it'd be quicker to walk!

no, but surely these games are supposed to be fun. i think aldwych branch would be only good for completeness sake, IMHO.

if i were paid, it'd be different!

i've never uploaded anything, and to be honest the standard of my workmanship has been quite poor in the stuff i've tried to make myself, but i do enjoy making routes. i'm going to sturggle with it though cos i'm such a poor modeller (any buildings i make will have to be 10 miles away from the track!)

it's a safety thing, isn't it? i'm surprised they're allowed to run at 75, to be honest. i though steamers were limited to 60, and diesels/ electrics would be too (have there been any electric hauled railtours?)

the epping and ongar railway is only allowed to exist because if they ever get going they'll have to run commuter trains. it would be possible to basically build a new railway network in this country. it's what happened between 1830 and 1900 isn't it, really? it'd be very, very expensive and unless ...

surely the aldwych line is a bit pointless... a shuttle service over about half a mile that takes under a minute to drive.... why would anyone bother with that?
