Re: Horseshoe Curve route - Locked Scenarios

Hmm, looks like I'll have to try it again, again.

Thanks, Kevin

Re: Horseshoe Curve route - Locked Scenarios

Both times I got a message telling me I had successfully completed the scenario. I wonder if it's do to with the fact that I saved the saved it a couple of times along the way. Kevin My guess is that you failed it but completed it anyway? You can still complete a scenario even if you don't meet the ...

Horseshoe Curve route - Locked Scenarios

I've successfully completed the "Helper on the Curve" scenario twice, yet the final 2 scenarios remain locked.
Any ideas anybody?
This locked scenario idea sucks.

Re: Train Simulator 2012 doesn't work for me

That will be great. My 3 year old computer is not really up to the job of running ts2012, only getting about 10 fps with the highest quality settings, so I've got a bit of upgrading to do. I look forward to your recommendation FAQ. While I'm at it, I guess it would be a good idea to upgrade from Win...

Re: Horseshoe Curve Route

We should go down to Chatham mob-handed and tell RSC in which order to eat their biscuits :D Ha! I had an idea as soon as I deleted them.. I restored them. You can get around (standard only) RSC's silly locking thing very easily. Open one of the `locked' standard scenarios in the scenario editor.. W...

Re: Horseshoe Curve Route

It's not the career mode that I have a problem with.It just that I object to being forced to play Standard Mode in a certain order. That sort of thing should be left to career mode. Kevin I personally haven't had a problem with the new career system like some others have had, up to the third scenari...

Re: Re: Horseshoe Pass Route

First of all , the Horseshoe curve route is excellent, but don't like being forced to use career mode when I just want to play the game. I've attempted the first scenario 3 times and failed. The first time I got lost! The second time the train stopped by the tower east of Altoona and would go no fur...

Somehow I don't see the Bellevue Police Dept raiding RSC's Chatham offices.

Re: RW3 vs Top Gear

It isn't a train, it's a locomotive. And it's a chimney, not a funnel  There's no way that Jag was doing 70mph. And I was surprised the owners of the Peak allowed it to be used to trash the caravan. Kevin   at Jeremy with the GWR train and calling a funnel an exhaust and calling the ...

Re: Train Simulator 2012

That would be nice, especially for those of use who like making movies of trains going by.

For example, run your train at 22mph and follow it moving the camera sideways in the #8 view.

Re: Train Simulator 2012

True, but it was removed by Conrail, and Norfolk Southern didn't exist back then. However there was talk of re-instating the missing track due to increased traffic, an it's possible this has happened since I last looked. Kevin Except the screenshot shows quadruple track  . According to Wikiped...

Re: Train Simulator 2012

Except the screenshot shows quadruple track  . Looks cool, and it is pretty clear that the shiny new route will be Norfolk Southern's, hauling coal through Pennsylvania, since that is quite clearly a Norfolk Southern loco going around the Horseshoe Curve judging by the triple track and the dis...

Re: Train Simulator 2012

This looks like the Horseshoe curve route in Pennsylvania. I wonder if they've done a deal with Microsoft. The website uses the same font as MSTS, and of course the name. I love the real shadows and multiple light sources. This is a major step forward. Kevin http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak...

Re: Now more than just speculation

It looks like the line between Seattle and Everett where it runs alongside the Puget Sound. The bridge is the one that crosses the Union canal at Ballard: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=seattle&aq=&sll=37.766701,-122.288223&sspn=0.065272,0.15295&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Seattle...
