Re: Connections
Hi It is always advisable to check with the ticket clerk if engineering is going to affect you're journey in which case advance tickets aren't much use for the line of route that is closed, planned engineering is usually well in advance although trains can still run via diversions thus allowing the a...

Re: Bristol Temple Meads to Plymouth
Hi mate,I'm a guard with FGW I can give you a few, between Uphill Junction and Exeter St Davids the max speed is 110mph from Bristol to Weston Super Mare it's 100 mph. I think between say Totnes and Plymouth its about 55 - 60 mph up the banks. I have a sectional appendix so next time I get a chance t...

Re: AI Speeds
Well my method works for me and I'm happy with it,I've never had my sim crash because of this way and to me there is no realism in putting traffic starting a few miles away and passing you before dissapearing, this to me is very much game like. As I say by running full length services I know that I'm...

Re: AI Traffic
That's exactly the way I feel Andy,I think the ponit is that I only ever do point to point passenger services and hardly ever run any freight,so it's easier for me just to set initial departure times and actually by tweeking the consist eng. files and setting the performance at 100 you can get some ...

Re: AI Traffic
Roger Thb I've never noticed a major drop in framerates when applying that sort of ai traffic,I don't run a full 24 hr timetable but for instance if I'm starting at Kings Cross heading North then I'll put all Southbound trains about 3 hours before the activity starts so that I get the full timetable...

AI Traffic
As I'm sure some of you are aware I've been banging on a bit about starting speeds for a few weeks which has led me to an idea. What I'd like to ask you all is how you prefer to include you're AI traffic as it seems as though I'm the only one who uses it full length as opposed to just scripting AI t...

Re: AI Speeds
Hi Jon I know you dont watch them all the wat but for me it makes for realism if all services are from start to finish rather than just a few minutes in front, that actually poses in interesting thought that I'm going to post. My personal preference is as stated to have trains running full services,i...

Re: AI Speeds
Job done Ronald, could do all sorts of real railway operation then, especially if ai trains mantained speed on curves and gradients

AI Speeds
Is there anyway whatsoever that files can be tweaked so that AI trains that start in a restricted speed area(20 mph) can still reach linespeed and not end up crawling along. Its so frustrating that on West Coast Express at Euston there is a 20 mph restriction meaning that I can't run full length Eus...

West Coast Mainline
I have both West Coast express and Thames Mersey and both maximum speeds are 110 mph on the West Coast Mainline, can anyone confirm that this indeed is the maximum linespeed for that stretch of line and if so why is it such a low linespeed for a train like the pendolino
Cheers
Jamie

I'm sure this has cropped up before but I'm gonna ask again.
