Sorry to be pessimistic, but I don't think MSTS will carry on much longer. I think it will carry on as long as it takes for the new generation sims to come out, and will then wither and die. The simulation itself is now very poor-the longer I've been playing this game, the more bugs I've discovered....

I have completed a lined blue version of Owen Glendower, I'll upload it soon.
Edit 29.3.05: the model is now availible on my site, and shortly on UKTS.

Is anyone doing the later blue with cabside arrow? I might if no-one else does, but I have a lot on my plate at the moment, so if anyone else wants to I won't stop them.

When criticising the re-numbering, don't forget we all have to start somewhere and I'm sure those just starting out in MSTS are proud of that first loco with their own number on it. I'll say. My first reskin took 6 months (!) and when it finally reached UKTS I was over the moon. This opinion is wor...

As maker of one of the recently uploaded skins (48618), can I just justify why I didn't weather it: 1. The lined black livery was applied unofficially by local enthusiasts. If these enthusiasts took the trouble to paint the loco, they probably helped keep it clean afterwards. 2. I'm new to this and ...

The "real" thomas is the books. I agree too. The TV series could be described by alot of words I'm not allowed to put on these forums. If you want details on anything to do with the Railway Series, you can't do much better than this site: http://www.pegnsean.net/~railwayseries/index.html it ...

15" Gauge Route

Hi all, I have for a long time been dissapointed at the lack of 15" gauge material for MSTS. So now I have decided to do something about it! My plan is to create a fictional 15" gauge estate railway. But I would need someone to create suitible rolling stock and scenery as I canot yet do this myself....

Should bring back many happy childhood memories in front of the TV! Are you basing this route on the TV series or the books? Because the TV version is very different. Incidentally, a good site to visit if you like this sort of thing is http://www.pegnsean.net/~railwayseries/ (I've contributed to it!)

Also if you are in the area look out for the 18" gauge Steeple Grange Light Railway, which runs along the C&HPR's "Killer Branch". It's home to ZM32, the 18" gauge Horwich Works Shunter thatwas BR's smallest diesel locomotive.
