Gary, I am sorry, but if you really did delete these '(2)' folders, and they are not in the recycle bin then you will have to restore the missing files from your backups. If you don't have any backups then, I am afraid you are in great difficulty. System Restore will have moved .eng files, .wag file...

Well, without knowing what has happened, it's difficult to say. If you used System Restore and ignored its warning message, then contact me direct, I have utility which corrects this System Restore problem and returns everything to its correct place. If you didn't use System Restore, then you need t...

Gary, Is it possible that you have omitted to tell us that before this happened, you used Windows System Restore? When you ran System Restore it might showed you a message "Some folders were renamed to preserve their files" and you may have ignored that? If so, you now have a great deal of your MSTS...

Non Premium Download Problem - Nothing downloads
I have tried twice today and on each occasion, I get to the front of the queue. The file is ready, I attempt to download it (tried IE and GetRight) and the download just hangs with 0 bytes transferred. GetRight says either Connected; Waiting, or Connected; Server busy It's also noticeable that when ...

Ah! I think what you have omitted to tell us is that before this happened, you used Windows System Restore. When you ran System Restore it showed you a message "Some folders were renamed to preserve their files" but you probably ignored that I guess. You now have a great deal of your MSTS installati...

Barry, Unless you have really dodgy hardware, I don't think "corruption of files happens for unknown reasons". In MSTS, nothing writes to files other than the editors. The other suspect might be virus activity. The third suspect is the user editing the files. None of these have anything to do with w...

Just to clarify . . . Whether you are using Train Store, or not, has nothing to do with your problem because :- 1. If the Activity was stored in Train Store you would not see this error (even if the Activity file was incorrect) because, when an Activity is stored, MSTS does not see the Activity. In ...

I've not used Train Store but suspect it is hiding some essental folders that MSTS expects to find. Don't forget Train Store moves tsection/global etc for the route being used. To clarify - Train Store does not hide essential folders that MSTS needs to use. Train Store does not move any GLOBAL item...

You don't need to unstore everything. You just need to unstore the Consist that you want to use in your editing session. You can do this by adding the Consist to the Maintenance Mode Consist list for the route in question and then Preparing the Route, or you can use Immediate Unstore. AE doesn't get...
