Re: GWR Hawksworths

I've downloaded that photo and colour-corrected it in Photoshop, and it is indeed in blue and grey. The clue is the very worn condition of the Western pulling the train: I can believe that a chocolate and cream coach might just about have made it to the Westerns entering service, but not to the time...

Went for a spin in it today - watch the short video linked below for an AEC symphony as it works up the gears.

Re: 'Dump' files.

Cut and paste the last few lines of the report here - that's where you usually find the issue. Things like 'missing bogie node' (just from memory, I'm not at my PC) can normally be ignored.

Re: 'Dump' files.

You may be better off running Logmate.exe while you're running TS, if it is crashing at a specific point or set of circumstances. Having it running all the time can be a significant drain on PC resources but it can (can, not will) often give a clue why a crash has happened.

I'd like a bus simulator. Preferably with older buses!

Re: DTG to produce Liverpool - Manchester via Warrington Central

Lots of freight at the extremities, with DMUs in the middle. Trafford Park and Garston are very busy. Wonder what the included stock will be?

Quite a few recent updates: a trip to Newcastle on a Statesman Rail special with top-and-tail 57s; plus a varied batch of pics taken just east of Amsterdam Centraal, if you like that sort of thing. Later, I shall upload this week's trip to London with DLR, bus and rail photos.

Re: jp4712 on Flickr

A very interesting day today: a happy and varied hour at Fenwick LC, on the East Coast Main Line just north of Doncaster; then a short stop-off on the Midland Main Line at Milford, between Derby and Duffield, on the way home.

Re: Pantograph and Third Rail Arc Simulation

Several if not most Train Simulator 2014 AC or DC overhead locomotive and units have realistic arc effects. In addition, the very latest routes and trains replicate neutral sections, with temporary loss of power at the gap and loss of the 'line' light. Third rail is more difficult at the moment. Thi...
