Looking for an LRT train

I am looking for a light rail transit subway train that was built by Siemens and/or Duewag in the late 70s to early 80s. Unfortunately I am not sure the model. The cars were articulated.

If anyone has seen one around please let me know.

Home theatre

Yes I am running MSTS through a 72" widescreen plasma TV. wireless keyboard, leather recliner, 6.1 channel sound. If only real engineers could relax in a leather recliner. They would fall asleep. I have upgraded most of the default sounds in MSTS and many of my engines (I have close to 800). B...

sound issues

I have had this problem too where the sound of the diesels outside were really quiet. But I could hear the ambient sounds like birds and cars etc. Then I found something very wierd. I zoomed in close to the lead locomotive (any kind of loco) and it was quiet. No diesel or chuff-chuff. Then I moved b...

Thanks for all the info

Thanks for all the information. This really helps alot. I can see how these steam engines would each have their own quirks and 'personality'. I imagine the steam engines on a ship work in a similar fashion. Because the cylinder cocks were used to drain water from the boiler was there alot of issues ...

Real steam engine questions

I was reading up on steam engines (to better understand how to drive one) and alot of the material is over my head without the basics. So I have some questions. I was just wondering if the steam whistle on a steam engine is there to make noise or does it actually serve a function such as releasing s...

Thanks for all your help

Thanks for all your help guys. This clears things up now. I am thinking of taking the (SG) track texture in the Talyllyn Railway route and using it on other routes I have (from a similar time period). Great track texture. As for the route building I think I will leave that to the pro's for now. I am...

How to incorporate narrow gauge track into existing route

I have downloaded all of the scale patches for the rolling stock and I am able to use these narrow guage locomotives but because the track was built to 2x scale in the route the locomotive is of course too small to run on it. So from what you said, saddletank, it sounds like I need to use the shape ...

How to incorporate narrow gauge track into existing route

Hello. I am relatively new to the traim sim world. I recently downloaded the Talyllyn Railway route and its corresponding rolling stock and locomotives. This is a beautiful route and it definately has an old world feel to it. I love the track texture. Cows are nice too. :) I wanted to use actual nar...
