What's '4th' rail? :fist: Cheers n thanks, Bazza The London Underground has 630V DC electrification via an additional two rails. The 'third rail' in this case is belongside the track and is energised at +420 V DC. The 'fourth rail' is inbetween the tracks and is energised at -210 V DC, thus adding ...

you would not find a class 08 on the s&d They were built from 1953 to 1962, used widely, and were more numerous than any other class. So you would have found them on the S&D, particularly since IIRC the S&D is being modelled in the 50s/60s. Hello, There weren't any diesel shunters allocated to the ...

I'd imagine the 08 is intended for the Newcastle to York route, so presumably it's at least planned in BR Blue. A few older liveries would be nice though. I'm not sure if OOC have a FGW green 08, although I seem to remember seeing a departmental grey one there a few years ago (another nice easy liv...

All the money flying around in the world of railway franchising is blurring it a huge amount. Does the Treasury eye it as a money maker? I think we have to say 'yes'. Probably. I fail to see how our Goverment can make money out of anything being millions in Debt. As I recall seeing on a TV program ...

Not that I am having a go, but I am wondering why the look of a website bears any relation to a companies product? I am genuinely interested to see what folk think. I find that if a company or person cannot even get the simplest things in a pages construction correct, then it makes them appear unpr...

That route has got dozens of reasons now why I wouldn't buy it, and it was a route I was considering buying. Not least the liveries, the poor scenery, and the incredibly ugly website. Doesn't sound too good either. I understand the stock may be beyond their control, but even the reliveried trains lo...
