How do I rotate textures?
I am building a corrugated iron shed and have successfully applied textures to the sides and end, however.... When I try to texture the roof, the textures are rotated by 90 degrees, eg the corrugations run ALONG the roof as opposed to down the slope. I am using Paintshop Pro 7 and Abacus Train Sim M...

Hi Richard, nice to hear from you again (Did you see WLLR "The Earl", by the way and the accompanying wagons??? Thanks to you for your help on that!). I am not too concerned with the missing blank.ace file as I can easily copy that or create it with Makeacewin (as per other topics on this forum pass...

How do I create a TS Object??
Help... will someone tell me in idiot step by step terms how to create a TS Object??? For some reason I do not seem to have an operative HELP function and, as I have version 1.1, the Matthew Peddleston book is out of date. I have created a simple box in the dimensions I wish to use for a locoshed to...

Where have me rails gone????
Someone seems to have been dismantling my route whilst I wasn't looking. At one location of about a mile, my rails dissappear, although I seem to be able to continue running on the sleepers and baseplates without difficulty. This only happens when I am looking forward from a tank loco running bunker...

Where do I put the Route Builders unzipped files
I have just down loaded Xtracks 3.4, both the user and the route developers versions. The latter has no read-me file!! Where do I put the directories and files when I unzip them. Also, I had just started to develop a route, having terraformed the landscape and put in a few tracks, before I realised ...

Further to my above, I have just noticed that a later version of XTracks includes double track ng curves in various dimensions, so this should solve my problem. Can someone explain in simpleton terms what installing this will do to my existing routes with earlier versions of XTracks? I seem to think...

As you say, The Countess is only a paintbrush away but I intend to do some wagons first (I uploaded my first lot last night). So far it is only open wagons, 6 of them, but I intend to work now on a van or two and brake vans. Then I want to try a representation of the Town Section. If, by then, I'm n...

Texture contamination by surface at 90 degrees
How do I stop a texture contaminating a surface at 90 degrees to it?? I have a plain box for a wagon floor, the top of which I require a deep charcoal grey, the sides and ends I want a light freight grey. As soon as I apply the darker colour, the lighter colour gets overwhelmed with the darker one o...

Sorted.... I think!!!! I illuminated the bounding boxes and, yes, the wagons did start to go bonkers when they impinged on each other immediately they went into a curve. I went into the .sd file and simply altered the zmax & zmin values to exclude the buffing gear. Hey Presto, they now behave perfec...
