Thanks to all who reponded and those who do in the future. I bought TSM and I am getting along with it just fine. It really is made for newbies. Right now, I am interested in WWII era Maine Central. I believe they had both steam and diesel at the time. Also, narrow guage 1910 era Sandy River & Rangely Lakes, also in Maine, US. Others might be WWII era Boston & Maine, the leg that ran from Portland to Boston. I don't know much about that line...
